Ahh, spring
Spring. The time when a young greyhound's thoughts turn to... other things. Things like:
-The grass is getting so green, I could just eat it! In fact, I think I will!
-It's late, it's dark, Mum is in bed, but there are such interesting noises coming from the open window, I think I just need to keep pacing back and forth between the window and the bed and whining. Who needs to settle? I have all day to sleep!
-It's warm, the window is open and fresh air is coming in, and Mum has just left her expensive blue yarn on the bed. I think that unwound hank would make a great toy.
-I think I'll use my super powers of imagination to get Mum and Dad to look around for bugs by pretending I see something moving near me when I'm lying down. Snicker snicker roo roo.
Ahh... Spring.

Ask me about this morning...
Go ahead, ask! It was WET! I wasn't so sure, but once we got outside, it was kind of fun! But definitely wet. This rain thing is kind of neat. Everything smells so different! And when we got inside, Mum dried me off with a big towel and covered me up with a blanket before breakfast, and I was snuggly and warm. I did tell Dad that this was definitely a good day to play hooky and stay home and nap with me, though... But they didn't.
It wasn't raining on Sunday, and that's when we went for another friend walk! It was a really short drive this time. I like going in the car, because most of the time, there's friends where we stop!
I'm all ready to go! Come on, Mum!
Here we go!
Out in front, just the way I like it!
Colour coordinated friends! hee hee roo roo
So much fun! I like the friend walks; I hope we do lots of them!
I am...
I raced once, came in fifth, and now live with my Mummy and Daddy in St. Albert because of Chinook Winds Greyhound Rescue.
And I am handsome.
